Pitching projects Workshop

Participants Selection Criteria

The Cairo international film festival in corporation with “Film Independent”, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, will organize a five-day intensive Pitching Workshop, led by two American screenwriters. This workshop will provide participants the opportunity to pitche, their project materials, discuss their projects and receive feedback from the U.S. Mentors and their peers.

The workshop is open to filmmakers from Egypt with at least one produced short film as writer and has a feature film in development. Filmmakers selected to participate in the workshop must commit to the full curriculum of the workshop.

Requirements:

1. Nationals or residents of Egypt
2. At least 18 years of age or older at time of application
3. Have at least one produced credit on a short film as a writer and director
4. Have a treatment for feature film in development
5. Proficient in English

This workshop will take place during the Cairo Industry days, which will be held on November 14-21, 2024

Participants must commit to attending all days of the workshop and all programs associated with the workshop.
